Oops!

Coinciding with Easter Sunday we come to Paul’s instructions for taking the Lord’s Supper or Communion. One of only two ordinances – the other being baptism – required by Christ of His followers. Paul felt the need to spell this out for the Corinthians as their behaviour when they met to remember the Lord’s death, and to eat together, had become an opportunity for sin and division within the church. Pauls warns the believers, and us, of the serious consequences of taking communion in an unworthy manner.
