Paul asks the Corinthian believers to remember that the weapons that Paul, and all followers of Christ, are able to use to defeat their spiritual foes, are far superior to those of the world. He challenges them to see Paul’s spiritual authority, as it comes directly from Christ’s, as reason to obey his commands. They are not to weigh what some say is his inferior physical appearance and speech, against the superior aspect of the false teachers in their midst. Using that to judge who was speaking the truth.
