Oops!

Jesus carefully arranges to celebrate His final passover meal with His disciples. He reveals, as they eat together, that one of them will betray Him. The disciples however, remain oblivious even when Jesus makes it clear to Judas that He knows what he will do. Then Jesus takes some of the food and drink and changes the meaning of the meal from one looking back at deliverance, and forward to a saviour (Passover), to a meal giving thanks for the Saviour’s sacrifice and looking forward to His return (Communion).
