Oops!

Paul concludes this second letter to the church in Corinth with a challenge to those who question his authority to discipline the church. He reminds those who receive this letter that it is the work of the Holy Spirit through Paul’s ministry that brought the gospel message to Corinth and through which they became believers. Paul knows that he is in the faith, can those who stand in opposition to him say the same? Ultimately, Paul says, the word that the Lord has given him to pass on to the church is for their edification not destruction.
