Oops!

In a synagogue, Jesus frees a woman from a disability that she had suffered for 18 years. But instead of rejoicing, the leader of the synagogue rebukes Jesus for performing this miracle on the Sabbath. Jesus confronts the man’s hypocrisy by comparing the Jewish leaders’ treatment of their livestock on the Sabbath with their attitude towards people. Aren’t human beings, made in God’s image, of greater significance than animals?
