Oops!

In this week’s sermon from Pastor Patrick at CCED, we continue our study through Luke’s Gospel, examining Luke 16:14-18. After Jesus is done speaking about how no man can serve both God and money, or any other idol for that matter, the Pharisees berate him over his teachings. In response, Jesus delivers a rebuke of religious self-justification, affirms the enduring authority of God’s Law, and closes with a sobering teaching on the sanctity of marriage. Together, these verses reveal the striking contrast between what is esteemed by human standards and what is regarded as precious in the sight of God.
