Oops!

Continuing to challenge the Jewish religious leaders’ love for money, Jesus tells the story of what happened to two men after they died. The earthly circumstances of the rich man and Lazarus would have led Jesus’ listeners to imagine that the rich man had been blessed by God and therefore could expect to be with Him in eternity. Jesus showed in this parable that it is our faith in God that determines our eternal destiny not our poverty or wealth.
