Oops!

Addressing His disciples, Jesus uses a series of examples to emphasise the importance of humility in the lives of those who seek to follow Him. Do we see the danger of causing offences and the damage they cause to those who are young in the faith? Are we sufficiently humble to forgive those who offend us? His disciples see the difficulty of doing what Christ requires and so He asks them to consider who it is they have their faith in. Following up on this, Jesus uses another servant-master illustration to demonstrate that as servants of our creator we owe everything to Him and therefore it is impossible to do too much in His service.
