Oops!

A blind man appeals to Jesus for mercy showing the kind of saving faith that the rich young ruler had completely missed in his interaction with Jesus a few verses earlier in Luke’s account. The blind man understood that only Jesus had the answers to his needs and so the Lord gave him both physical and spiritual sight pointing His followers to the blind man’s faith as the reason he was saved.
