Oops!

It is our work as believers to pursue godliness. The Holy Spirit will effect change in our hearts but we need to engage with the spiritual disciplines described in the Bible, in order to put ourselves in the way of God’s grace. We know we should engage with God’s Word in hearing, reading and studying it but the Bible also says that we need to mediate on it and have its words on our lips. A more proactive and persistent approach is needed, God tells us in His Word, if we are to make progress.
