Oops!

Jesus accepts an invitation to have a meal with a Pharisee which may seem odd to us knowing the loathing this group of religious leaders had towards Christ and His message. But Jesus takes this opportunity to call the Pharisees out for their obsession with outward appearances and the minute details of the many regulations they had added to God’s law, while all the while they were content not to address the state of their desperately sinful hearts.
