Jesus swap places with Barabbas who had committed murder, the righteous for the unrighteous. the crowd ( stirred by the chief priests ) cried out twice ” crucify him ” but pilate found him innocent of any crimes. pilate wanting to please the crowd handed Jesus over to by scourged & crucified by the roman soldiers.
