Oops!

After recounting Jesus’ plea for labourers needed for His harvest, Matthew now introduces the twelve men Jesus selected to be His disciples. Eleven of these would go on to become Apostles charged with proclaiming the Gospel and building the early church. To begin with however, Jesus had a special mission for them to the Jewish nation where they would have miraculous gifts to authenticate their authority as messengers from God.
