Oops!

Jesus continues to heal everyone who was sick or disabled in the multitudes that followed Him. But when He restores a demon possessed man who was also blind and mute the Pharisees are faced with questions from those who have witnessed this miracle. “Isn’t this man the messiah, the Son of David?” The religious leaders cannot deny the miracle but claim that Jesus has performed it through the power of Beelzebub, the ruler of demons. Jesus demonstrates the lack of logic in their claim, “Why would Satan cast out Satan?” Surely they must see that this is the power of God proclaiming the arrival of His kingdom. He warns them, and us, that to knowingly reject the Spirit of God is the one sin that will not be forgiven.
