Oops!

The Scribes and Pharisees demand a dramatic, ‘cosmic’ sign from Jesus to prove that He is the Messiah. Jesus responds by referring them to the miraculous delivery of Jonah from the great fish, making the link to His future death and resurrection. Condemning the failure of the religious leaders of His time, to recognise who it was that was standing before them, Jesus says that those in the past, who repented with less evidence will judge the present generation.
