Oops!

Returning to the western side of the Sea of Galilee, Jesus is once again met with a challenge to His authority from the Pharisees and Sadducees. By demanding that Jesus prove His prophetic credentials with ‘a sign from heaven’, His religious enemies revealed their lack of true faith. The Pharisees, in their focus on keeping every part of the law, and the Sadducees, in their liberal compromise, had both long lost any capacity to see the true authenticating signs of their times that clearly proved that Jesus was the Messiah.
