Oops!

Alone with His disciples Jesus asks them to tell Him what they have heard people say about who He is. Then Jesus makes His question personal by asking them to tell Him who the disciples think He is. What we think about Jesus is a challenge to which everyone one of us needs to find a response. When Peter replies that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, Jesus points him to God as the source of Peter’s understanding and explains that this confession of belief is the rock upon which Jesus will go on to build His church.
