Oops!

Jesus explains to the disciples what they, and all Christians, should do when they feel offended by the words or actions of a spiritual brother or sister. This is no easy task because it requires the initiative to be taken by the offended person in approaching the one who has caused the offence. Then in response to a question from Peter, Jesus uses a parable to illustrate how ridiculous it is for us, who have been forgiven so much by God, to hold back on our forgiveness for others’ relatively minor debts to us.
