Oops!

Matthew continues his account of the week leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion with a series of scenes that draw our attention to two people with contrasting views of the Messiah’s imminent death. Mary, Lazarus’ sister, lavishes expensive oil on Jesus in the knowledge of her Lord’s coming death and burial while Judas criticises her action and goes to the scribes and pharisees to offer his help in betraying his master.
