Oops!

How can persecution be counted a blessing? And why would Jesus encourage His followers to rejoice when they face it? The kingdom of heaven is composed of those who identify with Christ and just as He faced persecution it should come as no surprise to us when we do. Surely to be counted in the same company as the persecuted Old Testament prophets should be cause for joy.
