Oops!

“Going the extra mile” and “Turning the other cheek” are familiar expressions in our culture that come from this passage in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Here we are challenged to turn aside from the temptation to seek revenge for perceived injustices done to us and instead to see all we have, not as our possessions, but as gifts from God.
