Oops!

Hypocritical behaviour, in respect to how we demonstrate charity in the use of our money, is the next topic to be addressed by Jesus in His sermon. We are expected to use our God-given resources to help others but we are not expected to draw everyone’s attention to what we are doing. As ever this represented a challenge to the behaviour of the religious leaders of Jesus’ time as well as to how ‘good works’ are done in our era.
