What is godliness and what does Paul mean when he says that combining this with contentment is great gain? This passage from the end of the first letter to Timothy warns of the danger of having our ambitions and affections attached to money when they should be focused on God and the work we have to do in conforming our lives to that of His Son the Lord Jesus.
