- : Pastor Patrick Pierre – Powell, considers Paul’s final words for the Ephesian elders.
- : 29 October 2017
As he concludes his remarks to the church leaders from Ephesus, Paul explains that he must go on to Jerusalem and whatever may lie ahead he will complete his work for the Lord with joy. Paul reminds the Ephesians that he has declared the whole counsel of God to them and as they are unlikely to see him again they are to take heed to their own behaviour and guard the believers entrusted to their care by God against the attacks of ‘savage wolves’ who will rise up against God’s people. Paul asks them to remember his example and not seek for financial reward from their ministry but to support the weak as Jesus had said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
