Oops!

In response to the repentance of the people of Nineveh, God turns from His intention to destroy the city. Surprisingly Jonah’s reaction to this is to be angry with God. Why is God’s servant angry with the Lord for being merciful? This is the question God asks Jonah. But it takes another lesson from the Lord and a further angry reaction from the prophet, for Jonah to be ready to listen to God. What are the things, in our lives, that we value so much that if we lost them life would not be worth living?
